PATHOLOGY LAFFS BOOKSTORE

Here are four minis inspired by anatomy, medical history, pathology, and physiology. Laugh Riot!

PICTORIAL ANATOMY OF THE CUTE
Nine illustrations of kitten dissections serve as a guide for students of the adorable. This mini is heavily influenced by websites like Cute Overload, 16-18th century anatomical illustrations (Charles Estienne - semipornography), and one of my favorite picture-books, Pictorial Anatomy of the Cat. Text describing visible anatomical features is simultaneously useful and superfluous. The cover is blue, although a pink cover appears elsewhere in this blog. I wanted a pink cover... sigh!

THE INSPIRATION OF MARIN MARAIS
In 1725 French composer Marin Marais created a musical portrayal of his experiences as a lithotomy (bladder stone surgery) patient. Explore 18th century music and often deadly surgical practices through one of the very few operations surgeons dared practice at the time. It has been copied onto "parchment" paper to give it authenticity.

HOORABIES FOR RABIES VOLUME 1
Princess the poodle mopes, slathers, and curses her way through the pathogenesis of rabies. The full title of this mini is "An Illustrated Evaluative Essay On The Efficacy, Trope, And Merits Of Humor In The Creation Of Gag Cartoons Concerning Rabies And Its Place In Suburban East Coast Modern Culture" which says it all. Sort of. A simplistic precursor to this mini can be found here as a single gag cartoon.

"YEAH, BABY! SUCK ME HARD!"
This little gem from the Phun With Phagocytes series delivers gags about phagocytes and dieting, farts, and fellatio.
