NOVEMBER/DECEMBER EVENTS

DECEMBER 1, 2012 - THE IRON MULE COMEDY FILM FESTIVAL

One night only! December 1
8 pm
at 92Y Tribeca
200 Hudson Street (just south of Canal)
New York, NY
Tickets are $10 unless you are a 92Y member

Come out for this excellent monthly short film fest, produced and hosted by Jay Stern, Victor Vornado, and Paul Zuckerman. This month I will be the guest judge and will also present a short "lecture" as The Cinematologist. I have a new topic to discuss - but you'll have to come to the show to find out what it is! Additionally, as a part of the holiday line-up they will be screening that annual favorite "White Blood Cell Saves Christmas." You have nothing better to do this Saturday night, I guarantee it!

and Sunday, December 9, 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Gallery hours: 5:00 to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday
and by appointment: 917-375-6086

Where does the anatomy teacher go for fun? Why to Minerva Durham's anatomy/figure drawing classes at Spring Street Studio, of course! Minerva is presenting a show of "Drawings, paintings, and a few photos done in class and/or influenced by the study of anatomy." She was kind enough to include some sketches I did in her classes this fall. There are a plethora (and I do mean plethora!) of extremely accomplished anatomically themed paintings and drawing in the show. Come by and take a look or better yet, come take a class.
